Oracle is a multinational computer technology corporation with Australian headquarters in Sydney.
When Oracle reached out to us, their workplace was split across two operational floors, and they were unhappy with how their current space welcomed clients. They asked us to consolidate their workplace onto one floor, reconfigure the client facing areas and update the back-of-house area to make better use of unused spaces. We were tasked to reimagine the space to inspire out-of-the-box thinking.
In redesigning their entrance and client spaces, we created an open, inviting and connected space that greatly improves the experience of visitors and employees entering the space. We leveraged the external views and natural light to create a more welcoming feeling.
We created a more engaging environment for employees through a reimagined use of the space, incorporating spaces for social connection and collaboration, as well as more formal meeting spaces. We connected the inside space with the surrounding external landscape through the use of organic shapes, biophilic elements, and natural materials and finishes.
With a focus on sustainability, we used recycled materials, included low power LED lighting and re-used furniture for the back-of-house area. We avoided new, unsustainable flooring finishes by incorporating base building polished flooring.
The new workplace enhances the natural flow of the space, improves the employee experience, and encourages a sense of discovery.
