Case study –eftpos

eftpos is a public unlisted company, owned and operated by Australians, and is an essential and valuable part of the fabric of everyday Australian life. In 2016, Australian consumers performed more than 2.2 billion eftpos transactions worth more than $138 billion at more than 900,000 eftpos terminals.

  • Location Sydney, CBD
  • Size 1,100 sqm

The challenge

Being a technology-based company, they had very specific IT infrastructure requirements when they relocated to their new workspace. Axiom was engaged to assist with the workplace strategy assessment, concept design, design documentation and construction of their new space in the Sydney CBD.

The solution

eftpos teams were accustomed to working in an agile environment, but had lost so much of their collaboration and meeting space that they were desperate to regain that physical connection. Our workplace strategy ensured they have built-in growth contingency in their new office, which is currently being used as collaboration and project-based workspace.

The project was completed in a challenging, short timeframe with components of re-used furniture, including workstations.
